Hello babies, Apparently after your baby was born, doctor will recommend you to take these three types of injections for your little one:-
Vitamin K
Vitamin K helps the blood to clot and prevents serious bleeding. In newborns, Vitamin K injections can prevent a now rare, but potentially fatal, bleeding disorder called 'Vitamin K deficiency bleeding' (VKDB) also known as 'haemorrhagic disease of the newborn' (HDN)
BCG
BCG (Bacille Calmette Guerin) is a vaccine given to babies to protect them from serious forms of Tuberculosis (TB) such as TB Meningitis (an infection of the brain) and Miliary TB (Wide spread infection)
For this vaccine, it takes 4 weeks or more for it to works,Once your baby reached 1 month old, you will notice at his/her upper left arm a red bump (like a mosquitoes bite) and it will keep on growing until it pop a yellowish fluid and automatically it becomes a scar. Which is a good thing and means that the BCG works on your baby, if it did not pop then you should be worry and your baby might need to take this vaccine again.
Hepatitis B
The Hepatitis B shot helps to protect your child from potentially serious disease. Children with Hepatitis B usually don't have any symptoms but they may pass the disease to others without anyone knowing they are infected. Also it helps your child prevent from developing liver disease and cancer from Hepatitis B. Lastly, keeps your child from missing school or child care.
Parents, no worries ok , I took these three vaccines for my baby too and Alhamdulillah he is doing fine with it, no side effects, no fever, and he is perfectly normal. If you have any doubt about this, please do discuss it first with your healthcare.
Signing off,
The 13th
