Now this is the last stage of pregnancy, enjoy every moment of it because trust me you will be missing talking to your tummy at night or even eat as much as you can without feeling guilty over your big round stomach
Make sure to do as much reading about pregnancy before your baby's arrival, this will help you to prepare mentally and physically. Raising a newborn obviously a tough job for every first time mum (I am one of them!) why? because we don't know why our babies crying over and over again, wondering if your baby in pain? is he still hungry? is it colic cause the pain? why this and why that, but itsokay take deep breathe and relax for a few seconds to clear up your mind, you will be doing just fine! trust me I've been there and done that, I am still learning day by day to understand my baby.
Since this is the last stage of your pregnancy, I would like to congratulate to every moms out there for passing by the first two's trimester, on this very last trimester is the wonderful part, your baby is going to meet you soon!
Tick tock tick tock, Baby is coming! look out for all the possible signs for your baby's arrival such as water breaking, blood show and frequent contractions.
At first I am so confused on how contractions feel like, some said like a period pain, some said like a zillion times harder period pain feeling, and some said you will definitely know that is contractions. Later, when my time comes, oh god! yes! I definitely know that is contractions for sure!
During labor, my water didn't break but I am having a blood show, at first few hours a little blood came out, but later a blood covering up the whole panty liner, I was worried if something bad happen to the baby and I quickly rushed to the hospital and was immediately checked in in delivery room. Apparently after all the check ups, the nurses said I was dilated for 1cm ONLY, but my contractions are so strong but not consistent. They said if you are so close to labor, your contractions must be consistent and strong. So, doctor advice me to go back home and do a lot of walking for a smooth delivery.
We did went back home and later in the evening we went for a walk for an hour duration. I also climbed many stairs to put a little bit of pressure for it to dilate more. At night, I noticed I am having a frequent contractions and not so strong, also my panty liner filled with blood again. So we rushed back to the hospital, and doctor said I am 2cm dilated. I was admitted in the hospital on 1st April 2018. While waiting for me to dilate fully to 10cm, I can say from 1cm -4cm is a bearable pain, it is still painful but you can handle it by taking a long deep breathe and breathe out slowly (this really works!).
After I am reaching 5cm, goshhh the pain is unbearable and I couldn't take it, I feel like pushing the baby out at 5cm but the nurses told me not too because it could damage my sensitive area. After a long hours bearing the pain, I have finally decided to take two types of pain relief, at first I am trying on 'Laughing gass' they said it can help you reduce the pain and makes you feel relax but nope! totally doesn't work with me!! So I decided to take 'Epidural', it works like magic! my lower body parts immediately feels numb and I totally don't feel any pain from the contractions, while waiting for me to dilate fully, I am able to sleep for 2 hours before the shows start!
After almost 20 hours in labor, My baby is finally out from my womb with normal delivery and he was born on 2nd April 2018 at 1.50am. Seeing him for the first time its truly a wonderful moment ever!
My baby was born in Tropicana Medical Centre (TMC) in Kota Damansara, if any of you would like to deliver in TMC, I would recommend my wonderful doctor, Dr Nurhazinat. She is awesome, she will do the best she can to make sure you are having a normal delivery. She so calm and relax throughout the delivery process. I couldn't thank her more for everything she did for me and my baby. Our monthly check ups also went well, Dr Hazinat will make sure your body is in a good condition before the baby arrives!
Also another doctor I would recommend is Dr.Navdeep, He is also one of the best doctor (through my experience). When I fell sicked quite badly during my first trimester, Dr.Nurhazinat wasn't around by that time and I had to meet up another specialist, so one of the staff recommended me to meet with Dr.Navdeep. He is also very calm and pleasing, he will explain carefully and gently to you of what's gonna happen, he is also very nice, Thank you for taking care of me too doctor!
I just love both of them!
Mommies, It may sounds or look scary, but trust me if I can do it, so do you! just trust your instinct and do what's the best for you and your baby. You can do it! All the best Mommies!
Signing off,
The 13th
